I decided to avoid fall/ autumn colors because they are being used EVERYWHERE right now so I thought something vintage might be fun. I love this palette but found it a bit harder to use that I thought I would although I am not sure why... I really like the elegance of black and gold together. So here is the color palette I chose for 'Vintage Elegance'. (If anyone would like the Photoshop color swatch .aco I can post that too.) Click here Vintage Elegance to download this kit! Thanks for playing! Here is this month's Posting Bonus created by Gloria Val Verde ' Happy Hauntings' \

Your papers are gorgeous. I'm just a rookie so I'll see if I have some time to play. Still not to good at recoloring items but I'll try!

A Tip for recoloring elements with Photoshop...Since this challenge is not only for anyone who just wants to have fun collecting the contributions and (hopefully ) posting a LO as well as seasoned designers who love to share their work but also for anyone who wants to start creating designs, I thought I would share how I recolor elements. There are many ways to recolor things in photoshop but this one is the quickest and most accurate that I have found. After opening your element to be recolored, load the correct color(s) into your color chip(s) using the color numbers provided or by loading the color swatch that I make available each month. Note the Hue number and the Saturation number. Add a Hue and Saturation (H&A) layer to your element and check the colorize box near the bottom of the H&S layer window. If you have more than 1 layer in your layer palette and only want to recolor 1 layer, clip the H&S layer to that layer (Layers > Creat Clipping Mask or Alt+Ctrl+G or click the icon on the H&S layer window). Now type in the Hue and the Saturation numbers from the color chip and your element will immediately turn to a color in the correct color range but don't panic!!! You will need to adjust the Saturation and Lightness ( NOT the Hue!!) until you find the right combination that you are looking for to make your element just right. There are now many ways to adjust the element to keep the color but acheive other 'looks' for the element. Try changing the Blend Mode of the H&S layer and also adjust the opacity of the H&S layer. You can add a mask to the H&S layer and paint out with black areas that you DIDN'T want colored. A mask is wonderful for this because you are not erasing the color, just 'painting' over it so if you make a mistake you can quickly add an area back by 'painting' it with white. Now to save your 'new' element, flatten or merge the layers and choose the Save As command. After you are POSITIVE (!double check!) that you have saved it into a folder the original will still be open and you can 'Undo' the flatten layer command and use the same H&S layer with mask to choose a different color from the color palette by again typing in the correct H&S numbers, making any adjustments that you want and then 'Save AS again.

Janalyn's kit is totally amazing - EVERYTHING is wonderful, but Gloria, you came through like the champ you are too - I really like ALL of it. I'm working on mine, slowly - it really is a bit of a challenge - but I enjoy that part too!
